The Head of the UN-proposed government’s Presidential Council (PC) Fayez Al-Sirraj signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Italian Premier, Paolo Gentiloni, in Rome last Thursday. The memo has become effective since the day of signing (February 02) and will last for three years and renewal for three more automatically.

First semester final exams kicked off in all primary and high schools around the country as well as the first term exams for the seniors of primary and high schools. A spokesman for the Education /ministry, Ramadan Al-Ghadwi, said the first, second and third graders will continue their studies during the exams.

The National Oil Corporation board member, Jadallah Al-Okli, said they are trying to reopen Al-Feel oilfield and the groups, who are shutting it, are positively responding to their calls. He added that they are still aiming at increasing oil output by overcoming some technical failures at the oilfield, saying that the lack of funding and thus shortage of needed equipment are slowing down the production.

France has sent a shipment of medicines and medical aid to Benghazi Medical Center (BMC). This second delivery is carried out in partnership between the management staff of BMC and with the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED), a French humanitarian NGO. The first delivery was made in 2016.
The medical aid will be followed by the implementation of a training program in favor of the surgical teams of the BMC and other hospitals in Benghazi. This initiative is supported by France and by the European Union.
