Officials in Derna warned that Dignity Operation forces’ positioning inside the University Campus in Al-Fatayeh could eventually lead to its destruction just like what happened to Benghazi University. Since the Dignity Operation forces laid their siege on Derna, they had been positioned in the Derna University Campus in Al-Fatayeh after Dena Shura Council  fighters kicked out IS diehards from it.

On Friday, the Libyan political dialogue members called on the Tobruk-based House of Representatives to make the constitutional amendment required by the Skhirat-signed political agreement. They also urged, in their final statement at Malta-held meeting, the UN-proposed government’s Presidential Council, to be more competent in its performance regarding the crises placed on the shoulders of the Libyan citizens in social, security and economic contexts.

Benghazi Shura Council said its artillery renewed shelling Benina airbase using Grad rockets late on Friday, pointing out that it did not make sure whether or not the shelling caused any casualties. Meanwhile, Benghazi media sources confirmed that a number of rockets targeted Al-Naher road near Leethi district in the city causing only material damage.

Al-Bayda municipality disbanded its Notables and Elders Council over deviation from its assignments. Other sources from the city said the real reason was that the council declared Al-Bayda’s willingness to receive Saif Al-Gaddafi if he was released sparking a bit too much rage among residents, leading to its being disbanded by the municipality.

The Head of General Contests Commission at the Libyan Football Federation, Hussein Al-Busaifi, said the draw for the second round of Libya Soccer Cup will take place on Monday at the LFF headquarters with the presence of a number of sports clubs. The second round will see the eastern and western groups playing after the end of the five-team tournament.

Sources from Abu Al-Tefel oilfield confirmed that oil and gas production in the field had resumed and will be pumped onto Zueitina terminal with a possible hike in output starting next week reaching 10,000 barrels per day. Gas output, however, is still unclear as the oilfield used to produce 75,000 bpd.

UK embassy in Tripoli commemorated the death anniversary of the Commonwealth soldiers who were killed on November 11 during the WWII in Libya. The British Ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, along with the military attaché at the UK embassy, laid a wreath on the memorial of the British soldiers, who are buried in one of Tripoli’s cemeteries.
