Fursan Janzour Brigade said, after Saturday's meeting in the district, an agreement was reached to reopen the coastal road from Bridge 17, western Tripoli as well as to remove the sand barriers on the road. The meeting was attended by several Central Tripoli mayors, and Libyan elders and notables headed by Tarhouna elders.

The UN-proposed government's Presidential Council (PC) has issued a new decree ordering the formation of a military force tasked with securing the city of Sirte. According to the PC, the force will include 3000 fighters, who are all from the fighters of the military operations room of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, led by Colonel Ahmed Abu Shahma.

The fighters of the Derna Shura Council thwarted an offensive launched by the forces of Khalifa Haftar-led Dignity Operation's Omar Al-Mukhtar Operation Room on Daher Al-Hamar frontline in southern Derna. "We have hit targets for Dignity Operation forces with a rocket and caused them a number of injuries, including one of the leaders of the offensive." A military source from the Derna Shura Council reported.

Libya drew with Togo in a friendly match on Friday in Alexandria, Egypt. Libya national team was missing a number of its top players, especially Al-Ahli Tripoli ones, who couldn't be part of the training camp in Egypt. Libya's coach, Jalal Al-Damja hailed Libya's performance against the fully-prepared Togo team.

Ambassadors of China, France, Russia, Britain, North Ireland, and USA to Libya said the attacks on oil terminals in Libya threaten security and stability in the country. They reaffirmed in a statement Friday that oil terminals, oil production and exports' income are for all Libyans and must remain under Libya's state oil institution NOC, as per the UNSC resolutions (2213, 2259, and 2278)

The head of U.S. forces in Africa, General Thomas Waldhauser, told reporters on Friday there was an "undeniable" link between Russia and the commander of eastern forces, Khalifa Haftar. Gen. Waldhauser added that there are Russians on the ground in the area," adding that Russia's attempts to influence Libya were concerning to the US.

Media office of Tripoli Security Department said a meeting was held on Thursday in the presence of the department's chief, assistant chief for security affairs as well as a delegation from the interior ministry and another from the UNSMIL. It added that they all discussed Tripoli security situation.

Al-Sweihli team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Volleyball Championship that is held in Tunisia (17-27 March) after it had beaten the Libyan team Asariya 3-0. Al-Sweihli will play Tunisia's Étoile Sportive du Sahel at the semi-finals on Sunday as it has topped group 2 with full points' score.

Non-governmental Spanish relief organization said 250 migrants drowned in the last two days off Libyan shores as two boats capsized en route to Europe. The head of the organization told a state Italian TV channel that they helped recover 5 bodies from the wrecked boats.

Janzour municipality said a blackout will take place on Sunday in the district from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. On Facebook, it added that the reason behind the power outage is related to maintenance at western Tripoli power plant.
