The Head of the Wihda Educational Hospital in Derna, Mansour Ben Fayed, said the hospital will halt scheduled surgeries and will only operate the emergency ones until a further notice. He said the decision was based on a report by the supplies department that said here had been an acute shortage of necessary medical equipment needed in surgeries.

The Head of the Budget Department at the UN-proposed government’s Financial Ministry, Nouri Embaya, was released days after being abducted, said the ministry without further details. Embaya was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his office last Wednesday.

The spokesman for the special forces of Khailfa Haftar’s Operation Dignity, Miloud Al-Zuway, said that 33 of their fighters, including prominent leaders, were killed in clashes in Bu Nasib and Ganfouda and other districts in western Benghazi during last January.

Sirte IDPs will start returning on Sunday to Neighborhood 700 as per the mechanism placed by the Sirte Liberation Operations Room. The displaced people will start arriving in the neighborhood from 9.00 am after running through some administrative procedures.
