Al-Ahli Tripoli beat Al-Hilal on Friday 1-0 to win its sixth Libya Soccer Cup at the game that took place at Misrata stadium.

The Military Governor of Sirte, Brigadier Ahmed Abu Shahma, disclosed that he proposed the formation of a military force dubbed “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Brigade” as per the plan laid for the security of Sirte main entrances and its suburbs.

The Libyan Ground Handling Company has suspended work in a total strike at all Libyan airports except Tripoli-based Mitiga Airport.

Afriqiyah Airways said in a statement that one of its broken-down airplanes at Mitiga Airport in Tripoli has been hit by a bullet at the rear on Thursday, saying the rear is much stronger than the rest of the airplane chassis. He also confirmed that the airplane will be working soon with the rest of the airplanes soon as the company’s engineers are repairing it currently.

The head of the fuel and gas crisis committee at the Brega Petroleum Marketing Company, Milad Al-Hajrasi, said the fuel bottleneck in Tripoli is due to end, pointing out that they contacted the head of the fuel transportation commission and persuaded him into making the tanker trucks drivers resume work. He added that the Brega company provided all gas stations in Tripoli with adequate quantities of fuel and some of them will work around the clock till the crisis ends.

Clashes erupted in Tripoli’s Abu Salim district between two armed groups without reports about any casualties. The clashes left the civilians in the area in panic, as they feared random fire exchange. Eyewitnesses saw armored vehicles and tanks on the area’s streets.

The Marshal Islands-flagged oil vessel Houston Star is being loaded with 630 thousand crude oil barrels to be shipped to Italy from Brega terminal, which said on Facebook that the vessel arrived on last Thursday.

Water supplies have gradually returned to Tripoli and its suburbs starting from Friday, while water will be supplied to the capital as normal as before starting next Monday, a source from the Man-Made River’s administration said. He added that out of the 530.000 m2 of water that Tripoli needs per day, it will be supplied with 70% by Saturday evening before it returns to normal on Monday.

The head of the Prices Balance Fund, Jamal Al-Shibani, denied importing any foods and distributing them via the consumer’s commissions in Libya, saying the news about the arrival of such goods in Libya’s ports are untrue. He said they are still distributing the goods as per the usual mechanisms via consumer’s commissions, pointing out that there are no new contracts to import any commodities currently. He added that distributing subsided commodities could take place at the beginning of next year.

The head of the media office of the Third Force appointed to secure the southern region in Libya said their forces are in control of the region and won’t pull out from there until they receive an order from the relevant state authorities. He denied the news that said the Third Force had withdrawn and said it is in position and conditions in the southern region are under control.
