Benghazi Medical Center said it received 17 patients with food poisoning symptoms at the emergency section on Friday evening. On Facebook, the center said the patients were treated and some of them departed from the center, pointing out that investigation is underway to identify the reasons for the poison.

On Friday, National Peace Festival was kicked off in Sabratha with the slogan “Unity, Tolerance, Peace” under the sponsorship of the city’s municipality. The festival sends a call for peace and comprehensive national reconciliation. It was attended by west coast municipal councils, which presented traditional activities, equestrian displays and popular poems on the archaeological site of Sabratha Theater.

Some media outlets reported eyewitnesses from Benghazi’s Ganfouda as saying that Khalifa Haftar’s militias backed by foreign warplanes have heavily bombarded the district this evening. The eyewitnesses added that more than 16 airstrikes targeted the residential area in Ganfouda leading to the destruction of some of the houses, pinpointing that there could be some civilians inside those houses.

A booby-trapped car driven by an IS militant to target Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos positions on Sirte’s western frontline exploded while driving on a landmine planted by IS when they pulled out from the area, the media office of Al-Bunyan A-Marsoos reported, adding there no casualties.

Sources close to the fighters of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos confirmed that plenty of the IS families in Sirte succumbed to the deadline given to them to get out of the besieged neighborhoods and started to turn themselves in to the Misrata-led fighters. The sources added that only a handful of families refused to leave those neighborhoods, pointing out that Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos is waiting for the orders for the final battle in IS last hideouts.

Coastal road between Al-Zawiya and Tripoli sees normal movement, eyewitnesses have reported, adding that there are three checkpoints (Bridge 17, Bridge 27 and Al-Zawiya city’s entrance) with personnel from the appointed security units of Al-Zawiya and Sahil Jafara security departments.

Sources from Derna said MI35 warplane of Khalifa Haftar’s militias targeted Saturday dawn Derna port causing no casualties nor damage. The port was being prepared to be reopened after Derna’s residents signed on a code of honor regarding reopening the city’s state institutions.

The former Libyan Ambassador at the United Nations, Ibrahim Dabbashi, said his dismissal by the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government is not legal, adding that the House of Representatives should issue such an order and then agree on the alternative figure with the Presidential Council.
