The fuel and gas crisis committee has confirmed that the intensive campaign it had announced a couple of weeks ago to stop fuel smuggling in western and southern Libya has turned out a great success.

Head of UN-proposed government's Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj denied on BBC Arabic that the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi had demanded a post for Khalifa Haftar, saying it is not right that the military command is not part of the political leadership. He added that when he met with Egyptian officials, they both stressed on the need for a positive Egyptian role in Libya.

Al-Ahli Tripoli has topped the friendly Salam Tournament with 7 points after drawing - with Al-Shatt on Friday at the end of the third round at Abu Salim club. Al-Ahli comes first; Al-Itihad Misratai comes second with 7 points as well but less goals than Al-Ahli, while Al-Shatt is third with 5 points. Six teams take part in the tournament.

Japanese Foreign Ministry allocated $679.000 for a program to assist the Libyan internally displaced families, families who fled war zones and families escaping dangers over 12 months. It will also provide IDPs with humanitarian aids in the places in which they are settled currently.

Mellitah Oil and Gas Company said it had resumed work at a station of Misallah oilfield with over 6000 bpd. It said on Facebook that the German Company, Ferrostaal, ran a test operation at the station on Friday in the presence of the oilfield officials after five years of shutdown. The resumption shall help increase Misallah oilfield's output.

Benghazi Defense Brigades has welcomed the speech of Fayaz Sirraj at the Arab Summit, in which he condemned the digging up of graves by Dignity Operation forces in Benghazi. It said in a statement that Al-Sirraj's words should be interpreted into real actions on the ground.

Man-Made River's administration said its maintenance teams finished repairing the station number 368 of the eastern water track of Hasawna system in Jafara. which was exploded by vandals weeks ago. It added that it is filling the wells with water so that water supplies can reach the areas suffering from the outage.

Dignity Operation forces are still holding over 120 persons from the oil crescent region under arrest since they have seized control of the oil terminals earlier last month, local sources said. Most of the arrested are from Al-Maghariba tribe and they are accused by Dignity Operation of having ties to the former chief of the Petroleum Facilities Guard Ibrahim Jodran.

Benina airport administration in Benghazi denied the social media news that said it would reopen the airport on May 01. It said on Facebook that despite all entanglements at the repairing works, efforts are wheeling forth for having the airport ready to be reopened as soon as possible. When the date is set for the airport reopening, the announcement will come through official media outlets.
