Three members from the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government have rejected the orders issued by the Head Fayez Al-Sirraj.

The Sirte security force was let down by all Libyan components including the Presidential Council, which formed it, the senior leader of the force - which is part of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, Ali Rafida, has revealed.

The Libyan Foreign Minister of the UN-proposed government, Mohammed Sayala, held a joint conference with his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian, on Monday in Tripoli.

The Municipal Council of Tarhuna denied on Sunday the reports of an attack by troops based in Tarhuna on the capital Tripoli. The Council said in a statement that the news circulated by some pages of social networking sites is incorrect, accusing them of attempting to distort the city and spoil the national reconciliation project led by Tarhuna. The statement said Tarhuna city will not contribute shedding a single drop of blood in Tripoli; yet, it is eager to contribute in building a state of institutions and law and the establishment of a civil state.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya reported that it had documented 21 civilian casualties, including 7 killed and 14 injured in August. The UN mission said that among the casualties were two children, one was killed and the other reported injured.

The Congolese capital, Brazzaville, will host a meeting on Libya on September 9 under the auspices of the High-Level Committee of the African Union concerned with Libya. The meeting will be chaired by the Congolese President, Denis Sassou Nguesso, and it aims at narrowing the gap between the Libyan parties to overcome the political impasse that hinders the implementation of the agreement, and to advance the national reconciliation efforts in the country.

The Media Center of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Operation said that a convoy of armed forces assigned to secure the city of Sirte is roaming the desert areas adjacent to south Sirte in a routine combing task. Through its Facebook page, the Media Centre pointed out to the efforts made by Al-Bunyan forces, which managed to cover more than 450 kilometers over three days despite the lack of technical and logistical support.

The Azerbaijani Press Agency announced the release of three citizens from Azerbaijan last August after the marathon talks held by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister with Libyan officials. The Azerbaijani agency said that the three citizens were transferred to Istanbul last Saturday and from there to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, clarifying that the detainees were among a crew of a Turkish ship who was reported missing since February 27, 2016. The Libyan authorities had brought charges against the three Azerbaijanis of damage to public money due to their involvement in smuggling diesel fuel.

NATO is to open the South Hap; a new headquarters in Naples, southern Italy on September the 5th. Diplomats said that the center will be in charge of monitoring the ongoing events in Libya and in the African coast, and will work on the North African, the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa, air corridors and sea lanes in the region. Atlantic officials revealed that the center's task is to keep-watch on the risks of terrorism, immigration, and extremism.

The Libyan national football team will play Guinea Conakry on Monday at the stadium of Mustapha Ben Jannat in Monastir, Tunisia, in the opening round the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. The Libyan team enters the match, after a set of three consecutive defeats in the first leg; where they lost their matches against Congo 4 goals to nil, and Tunisia on their second match one goal to nil, as well as the away game against Guinea Conakry three goals to two.

A source from Derna said that the besieging forces of the city had closed the Karsa rout again in the west part of the city after it was partially opened during daytime hours prior to the Eid.  The source said that Dignity Operation armed groups forced the residents leaving the city to cross the checkpoints on foot, adding that Dignity militants have tightened the siege and are continuing to prevent any basic necessities from entering the city.
