One person was killed and another was injured by gunshots in Al-Salmani neighborhood, Benghazi. Al-Jalaa Hospitals later said that it had received the dead body and the injured person. Benghazi is still suffering from armed clashes and random shelling leading to the death of civilians and military persons.

The spokesman of Al-Thanni government refuted the news that said Abdullah Al-Thanni would resign. Many news outlets and websites said Al-Thanni was keen on resigning after the HoR Speaker Aqilah Saleh appointed Al-Madani Al-Fakhri as the Minister of the Interior once again with full authorities despite the fact that Al-Fakhri was dismissed by Al-Thanni himself.

Abdelraziq Al-Nathori, the military governor of the eastern region, appointed yet another military man as the mayor of the Sahil municipality. Al-Nathori had previously sacked a number of elected mayors and replaced them with officers and military men in a bid to regain the military reign in the east.

Sirte General Company for Administrative Services had taken legal procedures to dtop the salaries of a number of its employees who were proven to be part of IS radical group. The number of the employees was not reported. Many governmental organizations had already stopped a number of employees over their ties with IS.
