A joint force of Libyan southern brigades said it had arrested ten people near Libya-Algeria borders, adding that they were linked to the abduction of the foreign workers from the Turkish company Enka in Ubari gas power station.

The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, received Sunday the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Ghassan Salame, at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli. The meeting dealt with the political process towards the presidential and parliamentary elections on the basis of the roadmap presented by Salame. The meeting comes prior to Salame's briefing to the UN Security Council on developments in the political situation in Libya on November 16.

The spokesman for the Joint Force of Presidential Council based in the Fourth Brigade camp in the region of Wirshiffana, Abdullah Al-Fakhal, has denied the reports of the 28 dead bodies found in the Wadi Al-Hira and Al-Kassarat areas, south of Al-Aziziyah, confirming that the news was totally untrue and baseless.  Al-Fakhal also called on all media outlets to communicate with them for any information and to clear up confusion over the force’s operations in the region against the "criminal gangs" and the so-called "Popular Front" militants, as he put it.

The spokesman of Dignity Operation’s Saiqa militia, Melod Zawi, has declared that the military operations are still ongoing in the district of Sidi Kharibish in Benghazi, denying the reports by some social networking sites that the district was “liberated”, confirming that such news is baseless. Armed clashes have escalated between the fighters of Shura Council of Benghazi and Dignity Operation which has been imposing a siege on Sidi Kharibish for months.

Jumayl town, 100 km west of Tripoli, has hosted the first scientific conference on environment and sustainable development under the auspices of Al-Zawia University, Libyana Mobile Phone, the National Oil Corporation, Mellitah Oil & Gas Company and the Western Region Social Security Fund. The conference aims to raise the awareness of citizens on the nexus between air quality and public health and the environmental safety. The conference addressed minimizing the impact of air pollution and ways of dealing with it in the Western Sahel region.

The Libyan Red Crescent, Bani Walid branch, confirmed on Sunday that it had found two unidentified bodies in the valley of Memon in the southern suburbs of the town. The branch explained that the bodies were recovered in coordination with Wadi Al-Khair Charitable Society in Bani Walid after receiving a tip-off from a shepherd. The team immediately moved to the scene where the bodies were taken to Bani Walid General Hospital for medical examination.

Displaced families from the eastern region in Misrata have demanded local security services to disclose the fate of their sons held in the city's prisons. During a protest in front of the Misrata Security Directorate, the families appealed to local authorities to allow them to visit their detained sons and to release them as soon as possible, clarifying that more than 32 detainees from the eastern region are being held in Misrata prisons.

The National Center for Disease Control has denied receiving any cases of malaria in Tripoli. Through the Ministry of Health Facebook page on Sunday. The director of the Centre, Tahir Al-Shaibi, refuted the news circulated on social media and news websites in this regard and called on citizens not to be dragged into these rumors. Al-Shaibi confirmed that the current cases proved to be mosquito bites that caused redness and swelling, explaining that this is a repeated annual cycle due to the coinciding of warm weather with the fall of rain, making it a breeding ground for mosquitos.

The Ministry of Interior urged on Sunday drivers taking the Wadi Al-Khorouw and Wadi Al-Majinin road, southern Tripoli, to be cautious when driving through these areas due to the heavy rainfall. The Ministry noted that it had deployed officers of the National Safety Department on main roads to provide the drivers with assistance and guide them to safe tracks.
