A force from Tarhouna city, which was controlling Tripoli International Airport, left on Sunday and handed it over to the Presidential Guard of the UN-proposed government as well as to the Qaser Bengashir security department. The handing over event was attended by the Presidential Guard's Chief, Najmi Al-Nakoe, the Interior Minister, Aref Al-Khoja, and PC member, Ahmed Hamza.

Libyan Interior Ministry issued traffic accidents statistics in Arab Traffic Week in April, registering 77 accidents in that week, leading to 37 deaths with Benghazi having the highest rate with 10 deaths.

Fuel and gas crisis committee said cooking gas is available for all the citizens and it is working closely with the gas cylinders stores to deter any made-up problems and crises that can make people suffer. It added that fuel is being provided to all filling stations by Anwar Libya vessel from Tripoli port and Tripoli fuel depot.

Tripoli University resumes midterm and final examinations in all faculties and departments starting Tuesday. Last week, the university halted the exams without giving reasons.

The European Union said Tripoli fighting violated the ceasefire agreement that was reached with difficulties in last March. It also called on Libyan political leaders and parties to resort to dialogue under the UN auspices to solve their conflicts, saying there is no military solution in Libya.

Benghazi Municipality says litter is all over the streets because of the shutdown of the Sidi Khalifa landfill by the residents, which obliged the city's service authorities to use the main landfill in Ganfouda, let alone not paying off the financial dues of the service companies for 7 months leading to not paying the salaries of the workers. It added that they agreed on paying certain amount of the money for the companies to resume removing the litter from the streets.

The Head of the media office of Jufra municipality, Abdelnaser Al-Sanousi, said several of administrative buildings and institutions were damaged by the airstrikes on the city, including the destruction of the top part of the Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Office in the city, besides the municipal building and a branch for the Central Bank of Libya.
