The National Oil Corporation continues to declare the force majeure on oil production from Al-Feel oil field, Mellitah Oil & Gas Company reported Sunday. Through its Facebook page, the company explained that the field could not be operated despite intensive mediation efforts led by elders in neighbouring towns. Al-Feel oil field has been closed for twenty five consecutive days by the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) of Fezzan. The command of PFG in Tripoli announced earlier that it had reached an agreement on reopening the field and resuming the export of oil within days, but this has not occurred to date.

A team of divers at the Marine Research Center have completed the first phase of the cleanup operation of the basin of Sirte Port on Sunday. The spokesperson for the Municipal Council Sirte, Mohammed Al-Amil, clarified in a press statement that the divers have cleaned up the port from impurities and the remnants of war. He added that the cleaning process comes in preparation for the resumption of work at the port during the next period. The Chairman of the Ports Authority and the Mayor of Sirte paid a visit to the port last week, confirming that it would be resumed very soon.

Al-Ahly Tripoli qualified for the round of 16 of the Super Cup after beating Al-Tahadi of Benghazi 1-0 on Sunday at the stadium of Misrata. The goal came just after eighteen minutes of the kick-off through a penalty, shot by defender Sanad Al-Warfali, giving his team a place in the qualifying teams. The draw for the round of 16   is to be held next Tuesday.

The directors of health centres and hospitals of the parallel interim government in Al-Bayda, east Libya, organized a protest Sunday to demand the prevention of the suspended Health Minister, Rida Al-Awakli, from returning to his post. The protesters directed a statement to the speaker of House of Representatives and the head of the interim government, demanding them not to yield to any pressure and to spare the health sector from political and regional conflicts. The statement stressed that “Minister Awkali is not the right person for this critical stage”, calling on the government to “pass the job to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Saad Aqoub, who showed capacities to address the needs of the sector.”

Activists from Kufra city, southeast Libya, have warned travelers to take care of sand drift on Kufra-Jalu road. The road is being covered with sand due to the vagaries of weather these days, which included stirring winds carrying sand and dust. Several bloggers posted pictures of roads blanketed in sand, warning that it could cause fatal motor traffic accidents. A large number of travelers are exposed to traffic accidents in desert roads due to creeping sand and the deteriorating situation of some major roads.

The officer in charge of the Office of Education in Sabha, Mohammed Ismail, confirmed Sunday the resumption of school classes in the city, after being postponed last week due to the security situation in Sabha. Ismail clarified that there was a low turnout of students, contributing the weak response to the security situation in the city and the lack of fuel, in addition to a number of schools are being used as shelters for displaced families. He explained that the Office addressed the Municipal Council to evacuate the schools and provide other places for the families in order to able students to continue their studies in the current academic year.

The President of the High Council of State, Abdulrahman Al-Suwaheli, received on Sunday British Ambassador to Libya Frank Baker at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli. According to the Information Office of Al-Suwaheli, Baker expressed on behalf of UK Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, his pleasure for his safety after escaping an attack during his visit to the mountain region, stressing the United Kingdom's condemnation of all acts of violence that fuels the conflict and undermines dialogue and peace efforts. The meeting discussed the political process in Libya and reviewed the developments of the UN action plan. The British ambassador confirmed his country's support to bring Libyan parties together at the negotiating table and dialogue to find common grounds for amending the political agreement and to go forward with the rest of the democratic entitlements.
