Head of the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government, Fayez Al-Sirraj, met with the Austrian Ambassador to Libya in Tripoli, The Ambassador reassured Al-Sirraj that his country is looking forward to working with Libya in all fields, pointing out that their diplomats will soon return to Libya. He also told Al-Sirraj that Austria is ready to give training programs to Libyan medics and to help supply hospitals with medical equipment, saying Austria has already allocated a budget to help Libya in many humanitarian issues of IDPS and damaged areas.

The spokesman of the Sudanese Army, Brigadier General, Ahmed Khalifa Al-Shami, has revealed information proving some moves by the rebel Sudanese groups in Darfur aiming at smuggling weapons to Libya.

Benghazi Defense Brigades (BDB) forces imposed their control over the region from Nofaliya, 127 km east of Sirte, to Bashir town, 90 west of Ajdabiya, BDB commander Brig. Mustafa Al-Shirksi declared on Monday.

In July 2016, Benghazi Defense Brigades (BDB) launched a military operation to return to Benghazi and marched to El Magrun, a town 80 km south of Benghazi, before foreign warplanes intervened and forced them back.

The spokesman of the judicial police, Colonel Ahmed Abukarae, confirmed that Al-Khums Prison inmates organized a mutiny on Sunday evening, leading to the death of one inmate.

Haftar's forces conduct large-scale arrests in Brega and Ajdabiya. Tens were detained on charges relating to being part of Defend Benghazi Brigades, including Abdulqadir Eshbir, the Chief of Brega Security and Salim Meshri, the deputy Attorney General, as they refused to issues arrest warrants for some residents.

Red Crescent in Ajdabiya continued receiving bodies of the people killed in the clashes in Ras Lanuf. It received 17 bodies of Haftar's forces from Bisher town's hospital. Nine were identified and buried. The rest of the bodies were sent to Benghazi Medical Center.

Libyan foreign ministry has expressed concern over the takeover of Uganda Telecom Limited UTL, one of Libya’s foreign investments in Africa, by the Ugandan government. It confirmed that it would take the necessary diplomatic measures to settle this problem in coordination with the concerned parties in and outside Libya to maintain good ties with Uganda and secure Libyan investments abroad.

The National Debate Championship - Libya 2017 kicked off in Radisson Blu Hotel, Tripoli, on Sunday. The contest is held by Young Arab Voices and sponsored by the British Council Libya. The winner will represent Libya in the coming Arab debate championships.

North Tripoli Court revoked on February 27 a decision to have over HQ of Madina Scouts and Guides in Dahra district to a local businessman. The scouts met the new court ruling with pleasure and happiness and said the coming hearings on the case would be crucial.

Sirte Oil and Gas Company said operations at its oil fields and ports are normal. The company refuted on its official Facebook page claims of offices evacuation due to the ongoing clashes in the oil crescent region, confirming the claims are baseless.

The International Organization for Migration IOM said it had helped 163 Malian immigrants trapped in Libya to return to their countries. The immigrants included 151 adults, 7 children and 5 infants. The UNSMIL also reported that 37 immigrants had left the detention center in Sika Road, Tripoli, in preparation for their departure to their countries.

Dignity Operation said it had mobilized land and air forces to repel what it described “the terrorist invaders.” In a statement, Khalifa Haftar-led operation urged all local residents from Ras Lanuf to Sirte region and Jufra town in the south to restrict their movement. It also warned fighters of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos Operation in eastern Sirte to pull back to inside the city in order to avoid Dignity Operation airstrikes.

The number of Libyan dialogue boycotters due to the incidents in the oil crescent region has reached 73, spokesperson of Tobruk parliament Abdullah Bilhiq has confirmed. Bilhiq indicated that the boycotters regarded the attack on the oil ports as setback for the Libyan political dialogue and accord efforts.
