The Foreign Minister of the UN-proposed government, Mohammed Sayala, issued the ordinance No.38 for 2016 appointing 66 embassy employees distributed on four continents and divided into security attachés and security communication officials.

Among the overnight decisions signed by the member of the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government, Fathi Al-Mijibri, he appointed Brigadier General Abdelkader Al-Tuhami as a Chief of the Illegal Immigration Fight Center (IIFC) in Libya.

The security administration of Ras Ajdair border denied social media news about the shutdown of the border crossing, saying both Libyan and Tunisian sides of the border are operating normally. It added that only the road leading to Ben Gurdane is closed by some Tunisian nationals, which is an interior Tunisian affair.

After opening the road linking Derna and Martuba by the efforts of Martuba’s notables, Derna received a number of trucks bringing cooking gas cylinders for the first time in three months. Derna has been besieged by Dignity Operation forces, who are disallowing fuel, cooking gas and other basic needs to arrive in the city since its revolutionaries eradicated IS militants from there.

Libyan oil vessel Al-Hani arrived in Essidra oil terminal in order to ship 6300 thousand oil barrels per day to France. This is the first oil vessel to ship oil out of Essidra in three years.

The Committee of Comprehensive Agreement among Libyans organized in Al-Zawiya a meeting aiming at resolving the shutdown of Ras Ajdair with representatives from Tunisia. They discussed facilitating the entry of goods from both sides as per a specific document, which they signed, and then send the document’s copies to both countries to take the needed legal measures.

Al-Zawiya local sources said 19 abductees from the city were released on Sunday after being kidnapped in Wirshiffana two weeks ago based on their identity cards as a reaction to confiscating a truck with a container full of tobacco by Al-Zawiya-based armed group. The abductees happened to pass by the coastal road hours after the confiscation had taken place.

An NOC official said Libya’s oil production hit 685 thousand bpd on Sunday jumping the last month’s rate of 600 thousand bpd. The production soared after the two closed pipelines that link to Al-Sharara and Al-Feel oilfields were reopened two weeks ago. Al-Sharara has resumed output, as its capacity is 330 thousand bpd, while no clear news about production in Al-Feel oilfield, which can produce 90 thousand bpd.
