The Head of the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government, Fayez Al-Sirraj, said he requested airstrikes on IS positions in Sirte from the US, confirming that the first one took place on Monday, hitting specific targets for the militants. Al-Sirraj said in a statement Monday that the US airstrikes caused huge losses for IS, confirming that the Misrata-led forces have advanced in all front lines in Sirte.

The National Oil Cooperation hailed the Presidential Council’s announcement of the unconditioned reopening of Ras Lanuf, Es Sidra and Zueitina oil ports, confirming that the NOC’s Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah received a phone call from the PC member, Mousa Al-Koni, in which he told him so.

Head of Examination Department in Tripoli, Mohammed Al-Arousi, said the announcement of Middle School final exams’ results will take place in a couple of days, pointing out that the administration is finishing up the results including those of the displaced students from all around Libya.

Libya’s Hajj Affairs Committee said they agreed with the Saudi authorities that the Libyan travelers to this year’ holy event will be received in Saudi Arabia by the end of August. More than 5000 Libyans are going to go to this year’s Hajj (pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia.

The spokesman of the Derna Shura Council, Mohammed Al-Mansouri, said Khalifa Haftar’s forces have now gotten the city under a very tight and crippling siege, disallowing Derna residents to obtain medicines and treating them very badly at the checkpoints.

Khalifa Haftar’s militias warned Derna citizens of coming nearby the beaches that start from Wadi Al-Khutba and end in Wadi Al-Tamimi in the city. A leader in Al-Mukhtar operations room said those beaches are a military zone, telling people to stay away to protect their lives.

A workshop about environment pollution and contamination on the beaches took place in Tripoli under the slogan “Our Environment is Being Burnt. When do we react?” in cooperation with the General Authority for Tourism and Libya Demography Organization. The workshop reviewed the ways possible for protecting the environment and listed the dangers that encircle it leading to the pollution outbreak in the sea.
