The spokesman of Dignity Operation forces, Ahmed Al-Mismari, has described the ongoing clashes in southern Libya as an attempt to drive Third Force troops outside the region. The Third Force is a military body that is appointed by the UN-proposed government to secure the southern region, including Timnahent airbase, where most of the current hit-and-miss skirmishes are taking place.

The fuel and gas crisis committee has announced that air and naval forces had formed an operations room to end the crisis of fuel smuggling from Libya. "All targets are now in sight and the new joint operations room will take the needed action against them once needed." The committee said on its Facebook page.

A photograph posted by the Italian Embassy in Tripoli on Twitter of an apparently fuel smuggler has sparked the anger of a broad spectrum of Libyans. The Embassy tweeted the photo on Friday with the comment: " The future of Libya: its youth and its resources. One Libya."

The Municipal Council of Tarhouna (MCT) has held an urgent meeting with the Council of Sheikhs and Dignitaries and civil society institutions to consider a leaked government decision appointing around 83 ambassadors and chargés d'affaires, 3 of them "attributed themselves to the city of Tarhouna," according to MCT.

Gunmen kidnapped Monday the vice president of Al-Itihad sports club in Tripoli Abdelwahab Al-Shames after less than 24 hours of his appearance in a TV interview from inside the club's headquarters in Bab Benghashir. Identities and motives of kidnappers are still unknown. Al-Shames was released hours after his abduction. No further details were given.

Al-Ahli Tripoli sports club is going to host Al-Ahli Friendly Tournament starting next Wednesday at Tripoli Stadium with four teams besides itself. The teams are; Al-Madina, Al-Naser, Al-Akhdar and Al-Sweihli.

The head of the legal expertise and investigation in Al-Bayda Omar Hijazi said there is no connection between Charlie Charlie game and the suicide cases that have recently swept the city. He added that such a trivial excuse for the deaths is nonsensical, saying investigations are underway and will be announced soon.

Tripoli Education Ministry denied social media rumors about a number of female students trying to commit suicide in Abu Salim schools, saying nothing abnormal happened in the school at all. The ministry's media office called on the social media to be truthful while delivering such sensitive news.

Abu Salim central security department arrested a group of four people who are taking up burglary and cars theft in Tripoli's Hay Al-Andalus, Ghout Shaal, Fallah, Al-Sirraj and Janzour. The department said that they confessed to stealing over thirty cars and selling them to a person living in Al-Ajilat district.

Shuwairef municipality and authorities warned people using the road that connects north and south from inside the municipality's borders to be sure they pass through it from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm for their safety. It said the municipality's security is responsible for the safety of people only at the specified time as there is no enough support to secure the road around the clock.

"Let's Read" campaign, which is organized by Arweqat Al-Madina Newspaper in cooperation with Press Support Authority, has kicked off in Tripoli aiming to spread the passion of reading in the society. The campaign targets primary and secondary schools, cafes and restaurants, where a number of books, newspapers and magazines will be distributed.

Brega Oil and Gas Marketing Company's media office in the central and eastern regions said work is underway at Tobruk port to unload two oil shipments (58 metric tons) from abroad MARE BALTIC and PORT RUSSEL oil vessels, which arrived on Saturday.
