Head of UN-proposed Presidency Council (PC) Fayaz Sirraj called on Friday for the unification of Petroleum Facilities Guard forces under the control of Libya’s National Oil Corporation to protect oil facilities. He also called all other forces in the oil crescent to pull back to avoid clashes. Dignity Operation’s Petroleum Facilities Guard denied contacts with the PC to unite PFG forces.

Senior commander of Benghazi Defense Brigades Ismail Al-Sollabi has denied accusations of former Libyan ambassador to the UAE Aref Al-Nayd to him of being Al-Qaida member without providing any proof for his allegations. Al-Sollabi said he will file a lawsuit against Al-Nayd on charges of slander and incitement to murder. Al-Nayd made the accusations during his lecture at US think tank The Heritage Foundation.

A demonstration held in the eastern city of Bayda on Friday to support Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled army and House of Representatives. The demonstrators denounced Qatar and Italy for what they claimed “support to terrorist organizations.” They also set the two countries’ flags on fire.

Dignity Operation conducted an airstrike on Sidra oil terminal. There were no reports of damage or casualties.

Benghazi Defense Brigades BDB said the deadline for the release of Dignity Operation fighters in exchange for food and water to the besieged families in Benghazi’s Ganfouda ends today.

“We are ready to release them all once food and water are delivered to the trapped families in Ganfounda,” a statement by BDB confirmed.

The fighters were arrested last Friday during the first day of BDB’s Return to Benghazi Operation. There was no response from Dignity Operation.
