The new United Nations envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, has expressed hopes to receive the needed cooperation for the efforts aiming at reaching Libyan-led solutions to the Libyan crisis.

Kubis told the Libyan Foreign Minister, Mohammed Sayala, in a letter that the necessary support would come at a time when dialogues under the auspices of the UN Support Mission in Libya were achieving promising outcomes to bring about peace and stability to Libya.

In the meantime, the Libyan Foreign Ministry said the letter from Kubis was a response to a letter sent by Sayala to congratulate the new UN envoy on his job in the country.
