The Newly appointed United Nations envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, held telephone talks with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, over the issues relating to the present developments in and around Libya.

According to the Russian state-owned ‘Sputnik’ news agency, the talks between Bogdanov and Kubis took place on Friday.

Both parties stressed the importance of continuing to coordinate all efforts of the international community under the leadership of the UN in order to push the settlement forward.

Kubis and Bogdanov agreed on the necessity of establishing an inclusive and sustainable political program with the participation of all essential forces within the country.
