The Deputy Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya for Political Affairs, Stephanie Williams, discussed Saturday with members of the High Council of State (HCS) the political process in Libya, according to a statement by the UN Mission on Facebook.

The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the UN mission in Tripoli, included HCS members Musa Faraj, Bashir Al-Hushi and Abdulaziz Hariba.

The UN mission said that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the situation of the political process in Libya.

The meeting was the first to be held by the new UN official after taking up her mission in Libya a week ago, without the presence of the Head of Mission Ghassan Salame.
