The Libyan Football Federation has denied news of negotiations with Serbian coach Branko, to take over the Libyan national football team.

The federation said that they have entered into negotiations with Brazilian coach Marcos Pacita to benefit from his previous experience and knowledge of the Libyan football team.

Pacita led the Libyan team in the qualifiers of the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon in 2012, and achieved good results during that period.

According to official sports news sites, the Libyan Football Federation had recently discussed the negotiation with Branko to succeed the current coach Jalal Al-Damjah, whose contract expires at the end of the month especially after the unconvincing results achieved in the World Cup qualifiers.
