The Public Prosecutor has issued an arrest warrant against the director of the Curative Care Department at the Ministry of Health, his assistant, and several other employees.

The Public Prosecutor's media office said that the defendants referred to have been charged on the grounds of failing to preserve public money, for lack of medical scrutiny of the financial requirements referred from private clinics.

Several employees of the Ministry of Health had released a video statement demanding a mechanism for summoning health officials, saying that the failure of the Attorney General's office to coordinate with the ministry in this regard had impeded work and obstructed important transactions.
