The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NCO), Mustafa Sonallah, has declared that the repairs of the oil pipeline, which was exposed to an explosion on Tuesday, will take approximately a week to complete.
Sonallah said in a press statement on Wednesday that the explosion will not have much impact on the marketing program, but only some small changes.
Sonallah also said that the damage was estimated between 30 and 35 meters of the 24-inch pipeline. The NCO expected oil production to fall from 100.000 to 70.000 bpd.
