The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) welcomed the release of a number of detainees and political prisoners who were held in the Hadba prison based on a decision by the Public Prosecution on Saturday.
In a statement, the NCHRL called on the High Council of Judicial Authorities and the Attorney General to execute the general amnesty issued by the House of Representatives in Tobruk, adding that the general amnesty law would work to heal the social rift and contribute to the achievement of a comprehensive national reconciliation, peace and stability in Libya.
