The National Centre for Disease Control received the first batch of leishmaniasis treatment on Wednesday.

The Information Office of the centre quoted an official as saying that the shipment will be distributed next week to all dermatological clinics in cities suffering from the spread of the disease, according to the aggregated statistics of each city.

Earlier, Director-General of the National Centre for Disease Control, Badr al-Din al-Najjar, warned in a statement of the rising incidence of leishmaniasis by next season, as a result of the continued cessation of the anti-leishmania program in Libya, demanding the rapid provision of treatment medications for the disease.
