The National Center for Disease Control has held a training workshop for the rapid response teams with respect to the coronavirus outbreak.

The national-level workshop was organized by the monitoring, tracking and rapid response program with the WHO Office in Libya. It focused on hospital preparedness, infection prevention and control, risk communications and community engagement, according to the national coordinator of the program, Dr. Muhammad Al-Faqih.

Al-Faqih explained that the workshop was arranged at the level of Tripoli, Misurata and Zuwara for doctors, laboratory technicians, observatories, and others, adding that such workshops would be arranged in Benghazi, Tobruk, and Sabha as well.
