The Municipality of Central Tripoli said that it had already begun the work of removing the old corniche along the Shatt Road, starting from the roundabout of Abu Laila Tower to That Al-Emad towers.
The clearance operations in the corniche come in the framework of developing and completing the projects assigned to the municipality," the municipality said on Facebook.
Warnings were recently issued that the corniche was in an imminent state of collapse and could pose a serious threat if not maintained very soon
