Municipalities of Central Tripoli, Souq Al Jum'aa and Hay Al-Andalus have demanded the Presidential council (PC) to dissolve the current Hygiene Committee for failing to provide good services, as they put it.

In a statement Monday, the municipalities called for the reconfiguration of the Hygiene Committee with the membership of the concerned municipalities chaired by the Minister of Local Government.

They also asked for covering the accumulated debts on the municipalities, due to the delay in the disbursement of allocations by the current committee.

The municipalities demanded to implement a previous decision on determining the allocations of municipalities and the General Services Company in Tripoli.
