The Municipal Police of Benghazi denounced in a statement Friday what it described as the officials' disregard for the armed attack on its HQ in Bouatni area last Tuesday, which led to seriously injuring one of its members.
"The silence of all of, Benghazi Municipality, the Ministry of Local Government, the Ministry of Interior, the Interim Government and the House of Representatives towards the incident and the failure to issue any statement of solidarity or condemnation is truly confounding," the statement read.
The Municipal Police declared a strike in solidarity with their colleague, until he receives full treatment, according to the statement.
