Representatives from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Libya (UNHCR), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have expressed their readiness to assist the Municipal Council of Misurata in securing places for the displaced persons and present the best possible projects in this regard.

On a visit to Misurata, the UN organizations emphasized that their role is complementary to the state and its local authorities, adding that they are looking forward to the opening of a centre for unaccompanied refugee children.

For their part, the Mayor and members of the Municipal Council of Misurata have praised the role of international humanitarian organizations and their efforts in supporting the displaced and refugees, hoping to collaborate on finding ways to overcome obstacles in this regard, including challenges faced in the deportation process of migrants.
