Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has expressed concern over the fate of nearly 800 migrants who have been held for more than five months in a crowded center in Zuwara without sufficient food to meet their subsistence needs.

The organization said in a statement that “the number of illegal immigrants at Zuwara shelter is more than four times what it should be.”

The MSF called for an end to “the arbitrary detention of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Libya,” calling on international agencies and the Libyan authorities to find a solution for these people soon.
