The Executive Director of the Department of Immunization in Tripoli, Sadiq Al-Beheilil, said Wednesday, that the routine vaccinations available at the health facilities in Tripoli covers 80% of the actual needs of children.

Al-Beheilil clarified in a press statement that the warehouses are witnessing a shortage of vaccine against pneumonia for children, stressing that efforts are being made to provide the vaccine in the near future.

In a related context, Al-Beheilil said that the department is waiting to receive the vaccinations for students in the first grade of the primary and preparatory year.

The vaccination school campaign for this year is expected to commence next Sunday.
