The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Tripoli said Friday that it had deported 15 illegal immigrants of Moroccan nationality to their country through Mitiga International Airport.

On its Facebook page, the Agency clarified that the migrants who were staying at the Sikkah shelter in Tripoli returned home via the voluntary repatriation program of the International Organization of Migration (IOM).

A number of Moroccan immigrants announced earlier an open-ended hunger strike in protest against what they described as the inaction of their country's authorities to solve their case.
