The Man-made River Authority (MMRA) has said it is working to restore water supplies to areas in the central and western regions, which remained without water since the blackout that occurred last Sunday.

In a statement on Facebook, the MMRA clarified its teams are in the process of restarting wells to allow water flows once again, after restoring electricity in its fields.

"If no interruption occurs and the electric grid remains stabilized, water access will be restored to Tripoli and some areas by Tuesday," the MMRA confirmed

The frequent collapse of the public grid is the main reason for the recurrent water cuts; in addition, the blackouts generate technical problems that are outside the MMRA's scope, according to the MMRA.
