Spokesman for the Man-made River Administration (MMRA) Tawfiq al-Shweihdi, said that a security plan will be developed in the coming days to protect the project's sites, especially in Tazirbu, based on promises given by the commander of the battalion tasked with securing the MMAR, Mohammed Blash.

Shweihdi explained that the plan will include securing the MMRA's HQ in Hawari and Tazirbu, pointing out that communications are on with all security forces in the East and West, to ready the battalion vested with the protection task, given that the security responsibility for national installations falls on all Libyans, as he put it.
