The Man-made River Authority (MMRA) announced the return of electrical supply to the main station and its subsequent extension to substations in the northern and southern fields.

The MMRA confirmed in a statement on Monday that the task of pumping water had begun, subsequent to work carried out by electricians who managed to return several wells to working order and filling the main water transmission lines, which stretch along the entire route from fields in the south, to areas of use in the north.

It has also been reported that the water was cut off on Sunday to Tripoli and other cities, after a complete blackout was experienced on the electricity grid in the west and south of the country.
