Mitiga International Airport resumed its flights on Friday on the domestic and international levels.

According to sources at the airport, the first international flight took off Friday at 3 o'clock heading for Istanbul, in addition to other domestic flights that will follow respectively.

The Transport Minister of the Presidential Council Milad Matouq announced Thursday the resumption of air traffic at Mitiga Airport.

Matouq affirmed that the decision to resume air traffic at the airport came after a security recommendation from the Ministry of Interior, pointing out that flights will resume successively after completion of required procedures.
