Misurata Municipal Council has held Haftar's forces the full responsibility for the tragedies, lack of services, and violence the Libyans are suffering now, emphasizing that any contact with Haftar, if there is any, has nothing to do with the city in any connection.

In a statement, the Council accused the Presidential Council and its Chief of Staff of failing to support and develop the air defences, in order to preserve lives and property, deploring the UN mission's methodology in dealing with Haftar, by avoiding naming him an aggressor.

It also reiterated their rejection to accept Haftar in any future settlement.
