Misurata Municipality concluded the signing ceremony for the handover of a site dedicated to the implementation and construction of a desalination plant in the city.
Spokesman for the Municipal Council Osama Badi explained that the site was handed over following an agreement between the State Property Authority and the General Authority for Water Resources.
The project is expected to cover the city of Misurata and its outskirts with fresh water with a production capacity estimated to be 85 thousand cubic meters per day as an initial phase, to be developed to about 400 thousand cubic meters per day in a further stage.
