Bashaga said in a press statement that their Paris visit will include the deputies of Misrata elected to the House of Representatives and the High Council of State and members of the Misrata Municipal Council as well as other bodies elected by the city to discuss the political stalemate in Libya.

He stressed that this meeting is an extension of previous meetings, and comes within the framework of consultation.

The French presidency invited political and military leaders from the city of Misrata to hold a meeting with French officials from the Ministries of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Parliament and government. The meeting was scheduled to be held on the 20th and 21st of June in Paris.
