The Department of Statistics and Census of the Ministry of Planning announced the launch of a new strategy to develop and modernize the statistical system in Libya.
In a statement, the department explained that the strategic plan would be implemented through three phases to transform the statistical system into a modern, credible and efficient system, through 7 goals and 30 accompanying strategies, by the year 2020.
The new strategy focuses on the development and improvement of MIS between ministries, institutions, and organs, in addition to users access to the data needed, for making decisions on a sound basis, and contributing to the nation-building process and sustainable development.
