The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Illegal Immigration Mohammed Al-Shibani stressed that the ministry supports all international efforts to alleviate the suffering of migrants.
This came during a meeting, which gathered Al-Shibani with a delegation from the Dutch Parliament, in the presence of the Regional Coordinator at the Dutch Embassy in Libya.
The meeting touched upon means of cooperation between the two countries in relation to migration, and coordination in developing working mechanisms within the accommodation centres, in addition to working to improve the humanitarian conditions of migrants.
For his part, the Dutch delegation clarified that they have noticed in the recent period a decline in the flow of migrants, which indicates the seriousness and positive work of the Libyan side, as they put it.
