The Interior Ministry tasked the border security directorates in the areas near the Libyan-Tunisian border to conduct security patrols along the western border of the country.
The ministry clarified in a statement that the security directorates assigned, include Batin Al-Jabal, Nalut, Jumayl, and Rigdalin, in coordination with the border guards and the Petroleum Facilities Guard.
The step comes within the framework of maintaining the security of the borders and the sovereignty of the Libyan state, according to the Interior Ministry.
