The Ministry of Interior commenced Tuesday in implementing the security arrangements to secure Greater Tripoli by deploying patrols and setting up checkpoints in the neighbourhoods and on the main streets of the city.

The ministry confirmed on its Facebook page that the security condition inside the capital is proceeding normally, calling on the citizens to cooperate with the security service and police to ensure the smooth running of the security process.

The Interior Ministry called on all members of the Central Security Directorate in Salah al-Din area to start their work on Wednesday, warning those who fail to do so to be held accountable.
