The Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity has launched a project to support infection control units in emergency and ambulance departments in a number of medical centers and hospitals, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The project was approved by the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Health in charge, Ramadan Abu Janah, in coordination between the Departments of Quality Control, Health Emergencies, and the International Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Health, according to the Ministry media office.

In its first phase, the project aims to support and rehabilitate 48 medical and paramedical personnel from the infection control departments and units within eight health facilities in the southern region, according to the correct scientific methods for infection control.
