The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord (GNA), demanded efforts be made towards seeking punishment of Haftar’s militias for their despicable crimes, and to hold them accountable before the International Criminal Court.

In a letter to the International Criminal Court, the Ministry urged the Court to take the necessary measures to investigate thoroughly the crimes committed by Haftar, which amount to ‘war crimes’ and ‘crimes against humanity’; citing the documenting of abuse and murder of prisoners and the bombing of diplomatic missions in Tripoli.

It also cited the bombing of Mitiga International Airport, which was hit by more than 100 Grad rockets two days ago, leading to the destruction of airport buildings, combustion of fuel tanks and direct hits on two civilian aircraft, which were on the runway.
