The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that a committee, which was assigned by the ministry to examine the situation of the Libyan embassy in Damascus and to assess all relevant issues on the matter, has completed its task.

The ministry added, on its official Facebook page, that this step comes as part of efforts to enable diplomatic missions across the board internationally to carry out their duties to the best of their ability, along with the ministry’s attempt to end the state of division and gather all Libyan embassies abroad under the umbrella of the Government of National Unity (GNU).

It went on to indicate that the committee is set to submit its full report on the issue to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, at the earliest possible opportunity.
