The Ministry of Education of the Government of National Accord decided on Wednesday to postpone the return of school for secondary level students, which was scheduled to commence on Saturday, August 8.
The Ministry said the decision came at the behest of the Scientific Crisis Committee, which was set up to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.
It officially notified the various Municipal Education Departments of its decision, which was taken in the best interest of the health and safety of both the students and faculty personnel, stressing the need to continue distance learning and to follow all advice until the epidemiological situation has improved and permission is granted by the Crisis Committee for a safe return to education.
