The Minister of Education Othman Abdul Jalil called on university presidents to prohibit the "unacceptable acts" that accompany the graduation ceremonies inside the universities' premises.
In his speech to the university presidents, the minister called for the need to raise awareness on the negative impact of such acts on the reputation of Libyan universities, stressing the importance of adhering to the scientific and administrative norms.
Abdul Jalil also called on the heads of universities to take deterrent measures against anyone who performs such acts, which are extraneous to universities.
