Minister of State for Women’s Affairs discusses role of Libyan women to succeed elections

The Minister of State for Women Affairs, Horeya Al-Tarman, held discussions on Tuesday, with the head of the Office of Local Government Affairs and Elections in the Presidential Council (PC), Abdelbaset Gudan, and the head of the Elections Unit in the PC, Amal Al-Malti.

This came within the framework of coordination and communication between the Election Support Committee at the Cabinet of Ministers and the Office of Local Government and Elections Affairs of the Presidential Council.

Both sides discussed the role of Libyan women to succeed the upcoming elections and joint work to identify the difficulties that hinder women participation in the political process.
